Walnuts

 Known and consumed since pre-historical times, walnut plays an important role in Moldavian cuisine and culture. In every Moldavian garden can be found at least one walnut tree. It provides tasty and healthy fruits, cool shadow in a hot day and drives away annoying insects.

Dried Fruits

 Dried fruit is fruit that has been dried to remove some of the fruit's moisture. Drying preserves fruit, even in the absence of refrigeration and significantly lengthens its shelf life. When fresh fruit is unavailable, dried fruit can provide an alternative.

Walnut Oil

Walnut Oil

 Walnut Oil has gained popularity in later days for its outstanding nutritional qualities. It is mostly used for salad dressing preparation, and it is appreciated for its intence flavour. Walnut Oil is a great source of Ω-3 fatty acids.

 

 

Moldavian Walnuts

All walnut kernels are carefully selected by hand and packed. Our company mainly sells the following fractions of walnut kernels:

Fractions of products for sale can also be selected according to customer's special wish.

Walnut kernels are packed in 5 level cardboard 10kg boxes. Our customers can choose, how they want walnut kernels to be packed:

  • At the bottom and on the top of the box we place a sheet of brown butter paper. Cardboard inside the box is made of similar material (certificate for paper is attached). The biggest part of our products are packed this way.
  • Products are put in cellophane bag and then in the box.
  • Products are put in 1kg, 2.5kg or 5kg vacuum bags, which are 150µ thick and then in the box.

 

Boxes are set on 120x100cm pallets and fastened with plastic band.

Only Industrial / 2 kernels are packed in 35kg polypropylene sacks.

All products of "Prometeu-T" S.A. correspond to all european standards and are supplied with all neccessary documents and certificates, including:

  • Certificate of Origin (EUR 1, Form A), indicating all relevant conventions
  • Certificate of Conformity, issued by the moldavian certification authority "Conservstandard"
